Welcome to my blog, I’m glad you found your way to this blog. This blog is made with the intention to support German speaking people to discover Scotland. It will provide you with informations about living, working, driving and even exploring Scotland. The blog shall help you to dive into this world of Gaelic speaking folks that are so close to German speaking countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland but is still so different.
Be aware that this blog will show off all the facettes of living here, the ones people expect and hope for but also the ones that can be disturbing or even destroy someones dreams. Scotland is an amazing country, landscapes that take your breath away, people that can be very friendly but sometimes its more appearance than substance.
Don’t get me wrong, I made my way to Scotland already in 2016 and I don’t regret it, but Scotland is not the land that flows milk and honey. It’s not the country just waiting for the German coming here and taking away Scottish jobs and using their free health services. But I will provide more details and information in my posts and will even sort it in categories.
Some categories will be Living in Scotland, Working in Scotland and Travelling in Scotland. If you expect here lots of interesting pictures of the scenery of Scotland (which is absolutley stunning and breath taking) but that is not the primary topic here. This blog and posts will be informative about the three topics above.
