About me

I’m an expat who packed up life and landed in Scotland back in April 2016 – and somehow the beaches, the weather, the people, and the wide‑open roads convinced me to stay.

By day I work as a telecommunications engineer, but the rest of the time you’ll usually find me exploring the country with a camera in hand, a drone in the air, or my trusty 2004 Volvo XC70 D5 rumbling along some forgotten tracks.

I’ve always had a soft spot for old things that still have stories left in them – especially vintage computers (Commodore C64, Amiga and Atari 1040ST), typewriters, cameras (boxy, bellow and SLR) and well‑worn machines that deserve a second life. Fixing, restoring, and upcycling them is my kind of therapy.

I love making informative videos, from helping newcomers find their feet in Scotland to documenting road trips, coastlines, and the odd off‑road adventure. Beaches, BBQs, highland trails, quiet harbours – I’m happiest when I’m out exploring.

My family (my parents, sister and her family) is still abroad, so staying connected to home is a big part of who I am, too. I have also a close connection to my oldest cousin and her family.

If you share a love for Scotland, old tech, creative projects, or just discovering new corners of the map, you’re in the right place.
